Nana Akufo Addo is Lost| Verbally Ironic

The national organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress is in the news for his oddball opinions once again.
Many leading members in the party hold him in awe and hail him with the kind of respect that you would accord an ultra-competent mother. To many his voice is worth a thought.
“Flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo is lost as far as the level of development in the country is concerned, hence, his recent comments that Ghana is going backwards under President John Dramani Mahama” Kofi Adams told TV3 network.
He said Ghana has experienced tremendous development in all sectors of the economy, a condition in the country he said the three-time opposition leader seemed unaware of.
The flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo at an NPP branch meeting in Paris, on Saturday May 28th said Ghana has retrogressed in the sub-region, in the past five years while its neighbours are surging forward.
The flag bearer compared the Economy of Ghana to that of Cote d’Ivoire who for the last five or six years ago were battling with war, an aftermath of the 2010 general election. Today, Cote d’Ivoire is the number one destination for investment in Africa all because of good and strong leadership. They are growing at 9% a year and we are growing at 3.9%. “Last year, Cote d’Ivoire earned over $12 billion in exports of its agricultural products. In the same time, we earned $2 billion,” he said. We have to change these statistics, John Dramani Mahama cannot help us, he added.
Rubbishing Akuffo Addo’s claims, Mr Adams highlighted that “the countries he [Akufo-Addo] is comparing [Ghana] to, like Cote d’Ivoire did not start growing without methodic investment in areas that are vital. We [Government] are investing in health care, we are investing in our road infrastructure, we are building interchanges to connect various cities to make it easier for people to be able to move, we are building the energy sector. “Indeed La Cote d’Ivoire that he is talking about is envious of Ghana’s investment in gas processing because they have not been able to achieve that. We are investing in agriculture, in the area of education, reviving collapsed industry.” he added
“His Excellency the President will be in Komenda to commission a sugar processing factory that will be creating over 7,000 jobs directly and indirectly. There are many factories that have been revamped, shoe factories, cement factories and others. So, what is Nana Addo talking about?” He quizzed to further demonstrate that the President is developing the country.
A potent governance is when the masses to a degree find satisfaction in the works of the government in power. For a country that is endowed with enviable resources for massive development, sadly these resources have been mismanaged or misallocated. The wealth of our dear nation has been left in the hands of a few families, friends and people who engages in create loot and share.
Unless Mr. Adams has a different definition to “Lost” which I doubt. At least Akufo-Addo has not been given the chance to rule the nation, what the ruling NDC is offering us is “pig dung”, Mr. Adams your people have failed us.
