Bukom Banku May Be Stupid But He's Making A Lot More Political Impact Than Many Sensible Ghanaians + Banku Releases Another Campaign Song for John Mahama

Bukom Banku

Beyond the Bukom Banku’s bleaching nonsense and sometimes insane political rhetorics all in support of his chosen party-NDC and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, I feel ‘Banku Flesh’ is somewhat making a huge political impact, more than the many sensible Ghanaians who want change but are not ready to walk through the political mud for this to happen.
In less than 2 months, Banku has released about 3 political campaign songs and videos for the NDC and president Mahama and irrespective of his antics, he’s a little talented, something his most scathing critics wouldn’t even disagree.
We may think Banku is a noise maker, of course he is—but a huge percent of Ghana’s electorates are unable to separate the chaff from the valuable seed. And considering the sort of place this man comes from, he’s perfectly doing what is capable of pulling support from his people for the NDC.
Every Ghanaian has a single vote: therefore either smart or a P.hd holder, you have a single vote like Bukom Banku and the many like him. If he is doing whatever to rally the support of those who wouldn’t care about party manifesto but vote base on musical persuasion or twisted campaign messages, then Banku is pushing a far plausible agenda than most of the smart people who are speaking in political tongues centred around GDP and others, which the audience cannot appreciate or understand…
Those looking for change are literally quiet, decent people hoping that every other person will realize the hovering hardship and the grand instability caused by the NDC–and proceed to vote them out.
It would have been fair and great if we had no ‘deranged’ men and women in Ghana in possession of voters ID cards, whose votes fly with the wind, the sort of people Bukom Banku is aggressively targeting and seemingly winning their hearts.
Whether we accept it or not, Banku has become popular, any video we post of him on Facebook gets ridiculous number of views—imagine the number of these viewers who have the same sort of brain-wiring like himself, Akua Donkor and Ayitey Powers. And ask yourself this; would such people buy into Bukom Banku’s messages, though mostly unfounded and plainly stupid?
Donald Trump is a contemporary case study in this area, a strong indication that some electorates, a huge number of them love to listen to nonsense and vote along those lines.
The truth is, since the sensible Ghanaians are failing to actively get involve in the campaign for change, Banku and the rest may succeed in deciding who becomes the next president of Ghana and to be frank, I think they are almost there.
