Obenewah Bempong Krofa—OBK

Gospel music in Ghana seems to have lost its other-worldly strength to the deaths of many of the genre’s greatest voices, especially when it comes to “Worship”—-a gap Obenewah Bempong Krofa (OBK) perfectly will bridge with her incredible touching voice and brilliant song writing talent.
A daughter of Pastor Ammishaddai Bempong Krofa and Mrs. Parrian Bempong Krofa, OBK grew up on Gospel music and several musical instruments which have successfully shaped her talent and interest.
Currently studying at Valley View University in Ghana, Obenewah Bempong Krofa has released her first single which we are about to introduce to you, titled, Breath of Life.
Just like the title, the song takes away your breath—-a perfect showcase of a rare musical talent. The song is touching, piercing and uplifting.
OBK told GhanaCelebrities.Com in an interview that, “her style of music is Urban Gospel music”.

“Looking at my style of music, I see my song to be different from other Gospel musicians in the circle of Gospel music, because my style of Gospel music sits at the centre of deliverance, on the back of which God delivers his people from sin, restores His people, physically, mentally and spiritually,” she said.
She added: “I am not singing because I want people to know I can sing. I’m singing because I want people to know the beauty of the anointing of God and how miraculously the holy spirit works anytime we call on him.”
According to to Obenewah Bempong Krofa her “music is to win souls for Chris and let the whole world know that God is alive.”
