Black Stars vice captain Andre Ayew Dede has spoken out on his favoured artists on the local scene, and his choice indirectly tells us he’s a ‘Kanta’ boy.
Ayew spoke to Bola Ray on numerous topics Wednesday, and during the conversation the topic of his favourite local musicians came up.
According to the son of the legendary Abedi Ayew, his favourite local artiste is Shatta Wale. He then named a couple others who made the list, including the bossy one ‘King Sark’.
“I like Shatta Wale because he is the number one artist right now because he believed in what he wanted to do.” He said.
“He believed in his music and he has charisma. He is my number one choice. I also like Sarkodie and then Bisa KDei too. I listen to R2Bees and then Stonebwoy.”
Dede also touched on the subject of his father, the legendary Abedi Ayew Pele, and answered the question of who he thought was more skillfull between the maestro and Nigerian legend J.J Okocha.
“I will say Abedi Pele is the most skillful. He had a lot of skills even though their style of play was different. He showed a lot of technique and a lot of finesse in his game. And also I saw all his games, I also saw Jay Jay Okocha; he was my generation. It’s sad that he never won the African best player; football is like that,” he added.
