KickA$$ Torrents is Back Online—This Time As KAT.am

A few days ago, the founder of the world’s biggest illegal download website-KickA$$ Torrents (KAT)-Artem Vaulin from Ukraine was arrested in Poland, caused by the US government.
Quickly after his arrest, a Chicago court ordered the seizure of bank accounts and domain names related to the site and an extradition request was placed by the United State government.
The various associated domain names were also seized and the site was taken down.
In a press release given to Ars Technica after Vaulin’s arrest, the US Department of Justice said that they had been chasing Artem Vaulin around the world trying to capture him.

Vaulin is charged with running today’s most visited illegal file-sharing website, responsible for unlawfully distributing well over $1 billion of copyrighted materials. In an effort to evade law enforcement, Vaulin allegedly relied on servers located in countries around the world and moved his domains due to repeated seizures and civil lawsuits. His arrest in Poland, however, demonstrates again that cybercriminals can run, but they cannot hide from justice.

Now, KickA$$ Torrents is back online—this time as KAt.am, bearing the same logo and design.
This is something like the villain never dies—it was inevitable that a substitute would show up but shockingly, KickA$$ has reinvented itself to serve the millions of illegal downloaders once again.
