We’ve been hearing for a while now that listening to secular music is kind of demonic, but one pastor at least doesn’t seem to mind, going so far as to profess a preference for one of the ‘demonic’ artists.
Prophet Nicholas Osei, widely and affectionately known as Prophet Kumchacha, has put to bed all the recent talks of beefs and feuds and the like with one simple choice of who his best secular artiste in Ghana is.
Speaking to razzonline, Kumchacha laid his finger down on the scale for the people’s champion, the self acclaimed ‘dancehall king’ – Shatta Wale.
“In this world, everyone and his or her opinion. One may prefer to eat ‘konkonte’, another person may also despise it by eating ‘banku’ or ‘Fufu’. He sagely prefaced his comments.
“So between Sarkodie, Samini and Shatta Wale, though they are good in their respective ways, from a Kumchacha’s perspective, Shatta Wale is my favorite. I really like him”, he added.
Kumchacha concluded by debunking the narratives that secular artists are demonic, saying there was nothing wrong with listening to music of secular stars.
