Kanye West and Drake together on an album – all due respect but that should, and would, definitely be way bigger than 2010’s monster Kanye and Jay-Z collaboration ‘Watch The Throne’.
Drake currently has a rabid fan base that’s nearly unrivalled in hip hop, whilst Kanye West is, well, Kanye West.
The ‘Wolves’ rapper surprised fans at the OVO Fest in Toronto Monday when he made an appearance to perform, later calling out for the man of the night to come out on stage.
That’s when he started dropping his hints.
“Toronto, I got one question for you. “Is y’all ready for this album?,” he asked.
“Now, I’m not talking about Pablo. I wasn’t talking about Views. I wanna ask y’all right now, y’all ready for THIS album?” the rapper continued, clarifying he wasn’t talking about either their albums, but perhaps a monster future collab album?
Drake didn’t shy off either.
“What my brother was asking before was, are you ready if we make an album? That’s what he was asking.” he said.
Whilst nothing official has been said from either camp for now, it seems pretty obvious where the chips are going to fall on this one. Gods of music, get this done.
