Recently some tourists in South Africa found themselves on the wrong end of a lion’s mauling after getting out of their vehicle at a point they weren’t supposed to, but some people learn slower than others, I guess.
An Indian cricketer and his wife probably decided life wasn’t so precious when they disembarked in a Lion’s pen and took some selfies with the Lions in the background.
Ravindra Jadeja and his wife the posted the macho pictures of themselves online, but that just brought the attention of park authorities to their stunt, and led to a fine being imposed on him.
The cricketer and his wife visited the Gir National Park in western Gujarat state for the stunt. They were in a portion of the park were rules indicated visitors are to stay in their cars. His pictures were also taken with an endangered lion species, Asiatic Lions.
Officials say a deeper probe would be conducted, the BBC reported. The Chief Forester of the state told the AP that Jadeja’s father has paid the fine (20,000 rupees/$300) for him.
