South African rapper Khuli Chana has handed down a huge slap to M.anifest, after he revealed who his greatest MC on the continent is right now.
Chana, who is in Ghana furiously at work on a new album, said he marvels at the lyrical dexterity of Sarkodie, who he once worked with on Ice Prince’s ‘Aboki’.
The rapper, born Khulane Morule, was speaking to Starbuzz GH on how he felt with Sark mentioning him as a top rapper in ‘Kanta’ – and he said it was a humbling experience coming from someone he considers a top top act.
“It’s humbling especially coming from Sark cos first time I heard him I was shook. I was shook, I could not believe there is a guy on this continent who could rap the way Sarkodie spits. And he bigged me up on his last … his most recent joint.
“And that’s like the most humbling thing, and it also let me know that all the work I’ve been putting in…how I deliver my flow, what I say is finally paying off. The greatest in the game thinks I’m great. That’s humbling.”
