Bishop Daniel Obinim’s biggest freelance defender, Diamond Appiah, has come out to launch what she believes to be a staunch defence of the man.
Obinim has been embroiled in controversy over the past day after a video of him whipping two members of his congregation who had s*x went viral on social media, with many appalled at the severity of his ‘lashes’.
In an audio she posted online, Diamond Appiah attacked all the enemies of the pastor, with some arguments difficult to comprehend. Her main point seems to be that if one isn’t a member of Bishop Obinim’s church, one cannot comment in any way on what happens in his church. So Obinim could as well kill someone in his church and all of us not members of the International Godsway Church just have to sit back and watch in peace.
She also reserved some special ire for human rights lawyers outraged at Obinim’s acts, saying that many other human rights violations occur that have not been tackled. So logically, until all human rights violations have been tackled, other human rights violations should be left unchecked.
