The Ashanti Regional branch of the Actors Guild of Ghana Friday visited recovering actor Wayoosi to hand over a cash donation to help fight his ailment.
The Guild presented the diminutive actor with a check of Ghc 1,000 to complement an earlier Ghc 2,500 donation – marking a Ghc 3,500 donation to him in total.
The group solicited donations for the actor when news of his sickness, a liver and kidney condition, came up – and the earlier donation was given to him at the hospital to help cover his bills.
The actor, born Joseph Osei, was called upon by Bill Asamoah, Honey Frimpong, James Effo Mensah, and Monica Effah, as well as a host of other actors/actresses.
Wayoosi, in the course of this ailment, also received a Ghc 5,000 donation from President Mahama through his ‘Celebrities for Mahama’ project.
