Ghana’s President-John Dramani Mahama has stated that the economy of Ghana is about to take off–certainly admitting that it’s been really slow.
According to President Mahama, his administration has created the needed economically improved atmosphere and now “the right climate for take-off is here.”
Mahama added that, if re-elected as the President of Ghana, he will implement Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme (ETLEP), which will create numerous employment opportunities, especially for the youth.
“The environment is getting better and better,” President Mahama wrote on his Facebook Wall on Sunday.
He added; “the right climate for take-off is here. This is why in my second and final term starting January 2017, God Willing, I am determined to implement an Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme (ETLEP).
“This programme seeks to create more jobs in several sectors of the economy, with private sector involvement, and is anchored on value addition and diversification on the back of sustainable power supply,” he said.
He continued: “The Economic Transformation and Livelihood Empowerment Programme will strengthen existing industries and pay particular attention to the entire agriculture value chain. Additionally, the Programme will provide more jobs for the youth and Ghanaians as a whole, improve disposable income and enhance their purchasing power”.
President Mahama is currently on a nationwide campaign tour–and he’s in the Northern region today.
