The draw for the UEFA Champions League’s group stages have been completed at the house of football in Nyon, Switzerland, setting up the commencement of another stimulating year of European football.
As always happens, the draw has thrown up some intriguing clashes, with Real Madrid paired with Dortmund as well as Manchester City with Barcelona.
New entrants Leicester City, after winning the Premier league last year, were handed a manageable group with Porto, Club Brugge and Copenhagen.
The clubs would be fighting to dethrone defending champions Real Madrid, whose talisman Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned European footballer of the the year.
