Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has cautioned Ghanaians to be weary of politicians who make empty and fake promises just to win power.

In  a news video released by the PPP days after the ‘One Village, One Dam’ promise made by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling NDC’s claim that it has been building dams in those areas already, Dr Nduom made the appeal to Ghanaians

“Indeed, we are in a campaign period and everyone wants votes. Some candidates will promise anything to get them” he said.

He went further to state that because he is a ‘doer’, he has already been constructing dams for some villages which are already in use.

“We did not dig dams not because of elections but because the people needed them” he added.

Dr. Nduom stated in the video that, through the efforts of the PPP, some villages in Salaga North and Kumbungu all in the Northern Region are enjoying safe and clean water.

He then urged Ghanaians to vote wisely and not vote based on empty promises made by desperate politicians.

“I, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, I am a doer and not a promiser,” he concluded.
