A village in Indonesia is engaged in some creepy post burial rituals that definitely have to be seen to be believed.
Villagers dig up the remains of relatives every three years and then dress them up to be engaged in the ritual of Ma’nene.
The Ma’nene ritual, or Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses, takes place in Toraja, Indonesia, every three years.
For the ritual, villagers dress up their dead relatives and recreate an important moment from their lives.
They believe a person’s spirit must ritually return to their place of origin every once in a while.
