A Chinese police officer is winning incessant plaudits after an amazing act of kindness he carried out for an 80 year old grandma.
The SWAT officer carried Liu, who is disabled in the legs, over the 1km distance needed to get her documentation in order and board a train on time at China’s Haining Station.
Liu reportedly reached the platform to board the train, but had forgotten her mandatory ID. She thus needed to get a temporary one at a nearby ID office, but with time running out for the train to leave and in her state, was in danger of missing the trip.
In stepped Song Jie, who offered to help. He carried her in his arms to the nearby ID station, helped her get a temporary ID, and carried her back just in time to get on board the train and leave together with her family.
