It’s time for the second major Islamic landmark of the year, Eid-ul Adha.
The festival, held every year, commemorates the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast sunup to sun down in one of the religion’s most sacred rituals.
Today, Monday September 12, has been declared a public holiday in Ghana in recognition of the Eid – and the President has a message to the millions of Muslims housed in Ghana.
John Mahama took to micro blogging site twitter to send out his message.
