The NPP are determined to do so many things second – are they sure they really want to win this election?
Manifesto launch – 2nd. Picking of nomination forms – 2nd. Election 2016 – 2nd?
Perhaps they don’t realise it, but at a subconscious level, some of these things signal something.
The NPP flagbearer, Nana Akuffo-Addo, picked up his nomination forms for the 2016 elections Wednesday, hours after his opponent President Mahama had done so.
Acting General Secretary of the party John Boadu was at the EC’s headquarters in the capital to pick up the forms on behalf of the flagbearer.
Presidential candidates pay Ghc 50,000 for the filing forms, with Parliamentary candidates set to pay Ghc 10,000.
Aside the two major presidential candidates, other candidates who have picked up Presidential forms include Kofi Akpaloo of the Independent People’s party (IPP), Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akwasi Addai Odike of the United Progressive Party (UPP) and Nana Agyenim- Boateng of the United Front Party (UFP).
