A Ghanaian pilgrim still in the holy land has given birth to a bouncy baby boy.
Hasiyatu Rufai gave birth to the child in Makkah Thursday afternoon, myjoyonline reports – both mother and baby are reportedly doing quite well.
Dr Osumanu Danamiji of the Ghanaian medical team in Saudi Arabia said that the birth was smooth and without any complications.
Hasiyatu was heavily pregnant in Accra when leaving for the Hajj, and Dr Osumanu says he advised her not to go, but she insisted because she said she was due in October.
