The Vice President has been getting increasingly saucy as the election cycle heats up, and the lovable grandfather image he’s always had has been shed to reveal the ruthless, shameless politician behind the facade.
The NDC apparently cannot resist making demeaning jabs about the height of the opposition leader, with the Vice President continuing the tradition during a rally in Koforidua Friday.
Speaking to the teeming crowd, the Vice President’s speech was interrupted by a group who were carrying a lady on their shoulders to enable her view the proceedings. Taking the opening like the pro he was, the Vice President then made the remark.
He said short people had to be carried for them to see the achievements of the NDC, a not so subtle jab at the opposition flagbearer who the party has repeatedly made fun of for his short stature.
The remark, predictably, sent the crowd into guffaws – but the Vice President’s previous image has been forever tarnished with his comments on ‘buy one insult get two free’ – and this current unnecessary remark.
