Ghana’s two biggest dancehall acts, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, were also winners on the night during the 2016 International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) held in Florida Sunday night.
The two beat off stiff competition to win in their respective categories.
Shatta Wale’s ‘Chop Kiss’ beat off competition from Wizkid, Flavour and others to win the ‘Best African Song’ award, marking the ‘Dancehall King’s’ second ever IRAWMA award.
Stonebwoy also won the ‘Most Promising Act’ award on the night.
