Country queen Dolly Parton is to be honoured with a top prize at the upcoming Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.
Rolling Stone reports that, Dolly has been named the 2016 recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented to her during the 50th annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on 2 November (16).
The honour is handed out yearly to “an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in country music”.
Previous recipients of the honour are Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, and Johnny Cash.
