Dancehall act Samini has posted a reassuring message of peace meant for all Ghanaians to help bring about the elections that we want and feel we deserve.
The singer took to social media Tuesday morning, in the midst of all the hula baloo surrounding the disqualification of some candidates from contesting the elections, and made his feelings on the matter known.
Samini felt too much concentration was being placed on the role of the EC in ensuring the elections were free, fair and credible, and said that the entire citizenry have to be involved in making that a reality.
“Free, credible and transparent elections is not the responsibility of the EC alone. It is also the responsibility of you and I. Let’s believe in the EC….#VoteForPeace #GhanaMustWin !!” Samini wrote on social media earlier today (Tuesday).
Samini’s post was accompanied by a poignant photo of him surrounded by a group of people with a Ghana flag being held behind them.
