I do not know about other countries but in Ghana, elections give rise to people from all spheres and background recording one cacophony all in the name of campaign songs and we have seen far too many of this distasteful traits by these so called musicians .
One of such campaign songs is one for the opposition New Patriotic Party by all time high life icon Charles K. Fosu better known as Daddy Lumba titled “Nana Y3 Winner” recorded ahead of the 2012 elections.
Renowned sound engineer, Kwame Appietus who produced the song has labelled the song the biggest political song to ever walk in Ghana and I couldn’t agree more.
I mean you could dance and jam to the beat of this song though it was politically inclined.
He added that, he recorded the song because of the money that came with it and he is the least worried if anyone affiliates him with the NPP.
He also established that he would be willing to work with any political party because it is the person he is going to vote for that matters not he recording with the political lot he told to MzGee of Hitz FM .
Listen to the song and tell me you do not agree with Appietus .
