Actor Clement Bonney, usually known as ‘Mr Beautiful’, has laid the smackdown on Agya Koo, who has declared support for the NPP this election cycle.
Mr Beautiful, speaking at the campaign launch of Okudzeto Ablakwa in the Volta Region over the weekend, told the crowd that they should carry the message to Agya Koo that he’s an ungrateful ingrate.
According to him, the President has done more for the Creative Arts industry than any other in history.
“There’s has never been any government in this country’s history that has allocated money in its budget for the entertainment industry except that of John Mahama.” Mr Beautiful told the teeming crowd.
“President Mahama said he’ll make Ghana’s movie industry like that of South Africa, Nigeria and America. So he told our Minister (of Tourism and Creative Arts) that when ever she’s attending a movie festival she should make sure that she sends some of my colleagues along.”
According to him, Agya Koo has been taken on such trips, yet dares to turn around and endorses Nana Akuffo-Addo whilst claiming the NDC government has killed his career.
“As I’m speaking over 70% of actors have traveled with us. Agya Koo who’s now campaigning for the NPP, has been taken to China, Malaysia and other Asian countries. Tell him that he’s an ingrate, he should remember the good things he’s benefited from under President John Mahama.” Mr Beautiful added.
