‘Nana Akufo Addo is Too Old to Govern Ghana Like Mahama’ By Asiedu Nketia And 'NDC Adentan Candidate is Too Handsome to Lose' By Sinare–Two Useless Political Statements We've Heard So Far

The political landscape in Ghana has been swamped with plenty messages, mostly from leading political figures of the ruling NDC and the opposition NPP–and a lot of these messages make no sense.
Political parties in Ghana seem to care less about serving the electorates with meaningful campaign messages, based on which they will vote.
Instead, they continue to attack each other–and frankly, the NDC leaders have been doing more of this recently.
At the campaign launch of the NDC’s candidate for Adentan constituency-Mohammed Adamu Ramadan over the weekend, General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said Nana Akufo Addo is too old to govern the country effectively like President John Mahama.
He went as far as saying, the wife of Nana Addo, Rebecca Akufo-Addo should discourage her husband from contesting the upcoming general elections since he is too old.
“The NPP says 72 years is good, that Nigeria has voted so we can also vote. Rebecca Akufo Addo needs to heed to Buhari’s wife’s advice and advise her husband, Akufo Addo accordingly. She [Rebecca] should tell Nana Addo that he is too old and cannot govern the nation like how President Mahama is governing the nation,” he said.
At the same campaign launch, Citi Fm reports that, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare “charged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Adentan Constituency to ensure that the party’s parliamentary candidate for the area, Mohammed Adamu Ramadam emerges victorious in the general elections on December 7” and added that Ramadan is “too handsome to lose” the election.
What’s good governance or political elections got to do with being handsome? Are we still in the era of political beauty contest?
