Deputy General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Koku Anyidoho says the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party has already conceded defeat in the upcoming general elections at the back of his comments.
Nana Addo said he is going to continue with projects of the National Democratic Congress should he win in the December polls though he is an opposition.
“One of the tragedies of this nation is the long list of abandoned projects dotted around this country; we (NPP) have committed ourselves to tackling this disgraceful phenomenon through the National Asset Protection Project to ensure the continuity of projects.”
Well in an interview with Chef Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM on Monday, 31 October, Mr Anyidoho said:
“We thank God that finally Nana Addo has seen the light and speaking the truth that the NDC government is working and that he will continue when he wins. Just a few days ago, they were saying that John Mahama has not done anything.
This comment by Nana Addo is a clear testimony that President Mahama is working very hard, and the evidence is clear for everybody including the NPP and its flag bearer to see. We in the NDC welcome Nana Addo’s observations but Ghanaians will vote for the NDC to ensure continuity.
It is a miracle that today the NPP has admitted that the government is working. This should tell Ghanaians to believe in President Mahama and vote for him.”
Meanwhile, a deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen told show host, Chief Jerry Forson that there was nothing wrong with the comment by Mr Akuffo-Addo.
According to him, governance is all about continuity “and so I see nothing wrong with the comment.”
