Veteran actress Grace Nortey is reportedly ill and crippled in bed at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, hospitalised for at least the past fortnight.
Grace Nortey has been admitted into the nation’s premiere healthcare facility, her family has confirmed.
3News reports that the actress famously known as ‘Maame Jata’ has been confined to the hospital for the past couple of weeks, sick and unable to walk. Her family has not disclosed what her illness is but confirms doctors are working around the clock to get her back to full health.
“I can’t walk now, but I’m responding to treatment”. she told 3News in an interview from her sick bed.
Grace Nortey, 79, is one of the beloved names of the old days, having acted with fellow legendary veterans such as the late George Williams, MacJordan Amartey, Grace Omaboe (Maame Dokono) and countless others during the golden era of Ghanaian cinema.
