World football’s governing body Fifa have announced the ten finalists for the 2016 Puskas award, the fan voted award given out annually for the best goal of the year.
The award is given out during the Fifa World Player of the year gala and is usually one of the highlights of the night.
This year’s nominees include a nod to Lionel Messi for a freekick he scored for Argentina against USA, plus another plus his Barcelona teamate Neymar for his swiveling volley against Villareal.
The award considers goals scored between September last year and this year.
