It’s a shame that a country such as Ghana in the 21st century has to be suffering from an illness tied to filth, but that’s exactly what is happening and actress Nana Ama McBrown is standing up to fight against it.
In a campaign she’s dubbed ‘McBrown Against Cholera’, the cute actress is attempting to raise awareness and provide materials to fight the spread of the disease.
On the road to commence her campaign, the actress turned up at the Madina Central Market in Accra. With a massive crowd including the market women and children, Nana Ama educated them on how to fight against the deadly menace.
Nana Ama said open defecation is the most prominent way the disease spreads, so she is providing portable toilets for the community and many others.
“I have introduced very portable and affordable mobile toilet facility for communities with inadequate toilet and places where place of convenience is virtually non-existent, to prevent open defecation and stop the spreading the disease”. she told the crowd.
McBrown topped off her educational campaign by peforming ‘Cholera’, the educational single about the illness she released with rapper Strongman a few months ago. [Listen here]
