Caretaker Manager Gareth Southgate Named Substantive England Boss On A Four Year Contract

gareth-southgate
England has named caretaker manager Garet Southgate to the job full time, after he convinced those in charge in his four game provisional tenure.
Southgate, a former England international whose last stint was in charge of the U-21’s, took over the job back in September after Sam Allardyce’s ill-fated 67 day reign.
In four games since, three competitive and and a friendly, Southgate has led England to two wins and two draws, with his team playing some impressive football along the way.
He has thus been handed a four year contract to take the team through the rest of World Cup 2018 qualifying.
“I am extremely proud to be appointed England manager. However, I am also conscious getting the job is one thing, now I want to do the job successfully.” Southgate said.
“I’m determined to give everything I have to give the country a team that they’re proud of and one that they’re going to enjoy watching play and develop.”
