BNO news report…
“The incident began on early Friday evening when police were called to an incident at a travel agency on Boulevard Massena.
Police have confirmed that a police operation is underway after an armed robbery but have not disclosed how many people are being held hostage.
A police source told the AFP news agency that seven people were being held hostage. It is believed to involve at least one suspect who is armed with a handgun, though it is unclear if he has made any demands or threats to harm those inside.
Photos from the scene showed police blocking off roads in the area and people have been urged to avoid the area.
A police source told the Reuters news agency that the incident does not appear to be linked to terrorism, adding that the agency deals in cash transactions and has been robbed before.”
