Mr Iddrisu Haruna, the incumbent Member of Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has retained the seat.
Collateral provisional results from the constituency has revealed.
He pulled 51,839 votes (71.82 per cent), obviously having him a lead against the opposition Mr Yakubu Yussuf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who had 18,932 (26.03 per cent).
