DKB Calls For NPP Supporters Not To Mock NDC's As It Could Lead To Violence

dkb
Comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, trade name DKB, has called on supporters of the winning party in the just ended elections to celebrate in moderation and refrain from mocking supporters of the losing party to prevent any possible violence.
The comedian noted that mocking/teasing leads to people who are pissed off, and people who are pissed off tend to engage in violence as they are not thinking straight.
“Why I am saying people should desist from teasing or mocking is that, in the cause of jubilation, people may be tempted to use words which would anger those of the losing side and this could easily stir up chaos.” he said.
“Any post electoral violence starts from verbal provocation. So what I want to tell people is, you can jubilate, but shy away from mocking those of losing side, This is my little concern and I hope people won’t take this for granted.”
Opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo was named President-elect of Ghana Friday night by the Electoral Commission, winning a comprehensive first round victory by earning 5,716,o26, representing 53.85% of the valid votes cast.
