CNN have been forced to retract portions of a story they wrote about Ghana after immense pressure from the Ghanaian twitter-verse.
The world famous Cable News Network claimed in their election report that Ghanaians struggle to obtain food and essential products, and that we live in constant dumsor.
The passage read…

Rolling blackouts are common and citizens often stand in long line to obtain products.
A largely incorrect passage, Ghanaian twitter were furious and started applying pressure on the network, spawning the #CNNGetItRight. Thousands of Ghanaians expressed their displeasure at the negative portrayal of the country all across the micro blogging site.
After a period of tone deafness, CNN have finally taken down the incorrect portions of the article. An editor’s note on the current version of the story notes the retractions.
