Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi, has signed a statement that has condemned all the alleged vandalism by the New Patriotic Party after the party emerged winners in the just ended general polls.
According to him, it is absurd to think that people who have won would engage in such a demeaning activity— plausibly saying that the attackers can only be people who are still nursing  a sore defeat but hiding under the veil of the party.
“Such action, we believe, can only be undertaken by people who are disgruntled as a result of electoral defeat; no true NPP member will embark on such activity,” the statement noted.
“It is our hope that the security agencies will act expediently to unravel faces behind the illegal acts and bring them to book,” the party said.
The Regional NPP Chairman further observed in the statement that the NPP is a political organisation that believes in true democracy and exchange of ideologies and would therefore not resort to violence or attacks on its opponents.
