Martin Amidu, Woyome Showdown Postponed Till January 26, 2017

The much anticipated showdown between former Attorney general Martin Amidu and Alfred Agbesi Woyome has been adjourned to January 26 2017, if it ever comes on at all.
Amidu won a judgement last month to orally examine Woyome and get to the bottom of how the infamous Ghc 51.2m judgement debt was spent, but the cross examination has since suffered many adjournments as Woyome and the current NDC government try to stop it going ahead.
In the latest development, GraphicOnline reports that the cross has been adjourned till January whilst the Supreme Court deliberate on the challenges to the substantive ruling. Motions from Woyome’s lawyers, government and a private citizen are all attempting to have the ruling overturned.
However, with the imminent change of government on January 7 , and with the NPP’s promise to retrieve the money once in office – more troubles seem headed Woyome’s way, whether this cross ever come off or not.
