The President, John Dramani Mahama, has responded to the Gas station explosion that hit the township of Labadi late on Thursday and has reportedly killed about nine so far.
Taking to social media to pen his response, the President expressed his condolences and called for prayers to be extended to the injured.
“My condolences to families of the victims of yesterday’s gas explosion; let’s continue to pray for the injured.” John Dramani Maham wrote on Facebook.
The gas station explosion occured at a gas station sandwiched between the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre and the La Cemetery, and has so far killed nine with dozens injured.
President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also reacted to the tragedy, with a promise to tackle the issues leading to it once in office.
