Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah has revealed that his direct personality style prevents him from ever entering into politics.

Ramsey, a multiple award winning star, was asked if there was a possibility he could follow the footsteps of the likes of Desmond Elliott and enter the political arena, but he replied in the negative.

He told Joy News that he was a very direct person who does not know how to sugarcoat issues, which be a huge liability if he ever became a politician.

“In life, they say ‘never say never.’ [But] it’s pretty hard for me because of the person I am it’s going to be hard to be a politician,”

Ramsey also said the current Nigerian government was doing little to help the industry, unlike the previous Jonathan administration.

“The new government, based on situations right now has a little setback. The government before was aiding the industry a whole lot trying to propel a lot of funds and increasing cinemas and outlets for the films to sell.

“In this dispensation, it’s a bit minimized but we are hoping that by the time things settle properly they will look into it,” Nouah, who is currently on a promotional tour for new move ’76’, added.
