King Ayisoba was for a time the most popular musician in Ghana and since those heady days, he has done all right for himself – but it was not always that easy for the one time VGMA song of the year award recipient.

Speaking in an interview with Rainbow Radio, Ayisoba revealed that for many years he slept on the streets as a homeless person, constantly at the mercy of the heavenly elements.

‘’It has not been easy for me when I started a career as a musician. I slept on tables because I had no roof over my head. I was beaten by the heavy rains but I never gave up.’’ he said.

Ayisoba said this state of affairs continued for eight years whilst he struggled, but eventually he made his way to the top.
