South African Pastor Gives Members Engine Oil To Drink For Healing Power

blank

Tell me this is not madness and let me reserve you a room at the psychiatric hospital because it would only mean you are potentially as mad, if not madder than, this pastor and his members.

It looks like religion for some strange reasons open the floodgates of gullibility and absurdities, as we all know this is not the first and certainly wouldn’t be the last of such stories we hear about. How is it even possible that one can allow himself to believe that drinking engine oil which in fact is poisonous can give you some sort of celestial power?.

One South African prophet, Theo Bongani Maseko who is the founder and leader of the Breath of Christ Ministries in Daveyton, has made his church members consume engine oil on the back of the oil possessing healing abilities.

Speaking about such an appalling act with the media, this supposed prophet who sees nothing wrong with what he has done said:

“When we pray over anything, its poison dies. So it can’t harm people. Nothing happened, no one has been to hospital, and congregants who had drunk the engine cleaner had been “saved, healed and delivered.

“Jesus spat on the ground and made mud. He took that mud and smeared it on the eyes of a blind man and, instantly, that blindness was healed,” he added.

He also said that he had drunk the fluid and it tastes like honey so nothing bad would happen to his congregants.

Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, Chairperson  for South Africa’s Commission for Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Religious, Cultural and Linguistic Communities has however urged religious leaders to discourage such acts.

We just dread what it would be next, maybe congregants would be asked to chew nails.
