About 205 people who were hired by the National Service Secretariat after the elections have seen their appointments terminated.
Newly appointed NSS head Mustapha Usif took the decision to fire those appointees because he said their appointments did not go through the proper channels.
Former head of the scheme, Michael Kpessah Whyte, carried out the appointments in the middle of December last year, after the NDC had lost elections and his tenure was running out.

The appointments were part of a last minute rush of actions taken by the previous government before leaving and the NPP promised to review them once in office.
Usif told Citi Fm Wednesday that the such appointees require approval from the NSS Board and since no board is in place, it can’t have been done properly.
