The lawyer of NDC’s National Organiser, Kofi Adams, has called the bluff of government and dared them to send Kofi Adams to court if he has really done anything wrong.

Samson Lardi Ayenini, speaking with Joy News’ Evans Mensah, said that Kofi Adams has cooperated with the investigation even though he was not obliged to, but that now he’s being treated like a criminal as the police refuse to return his confiscated vehicles to him.

“If they feel that he has done something wrong and they want to go through a criminal process, they should go ahead and go to court and prosecute their case.” Mr Ayenini said.

“We will not be assisted by my client to continue this most lawless act that they are perpetrating on him.”

Kofi Adams had some cars seized from his house in Accra close to a fortnight ago, an incident which precipitated the forming of a Presidential task force aimed at retrieving state properties in the custody of former government officials.

Adams maintain the vehicles taking from him does not belong to the state and his lawyer said they were actually returned to him, but he handed it over to police for inventory to be taken before he took possession of it.

However, as he’s going back for it he’s now being told an order from the Flagstaff House prevents him from getting the cars, prompting Mr Ayenini to call on authorities to either prosecute his client or stop the monkey business.
