Lydia Forson and Adjetey Anang’s latest movie-Keteke, which premiered on Friday at the SilverBird Cinema in Accra has scored an incredible premiere success—as the highest grossing premiere so far this year.
The Marketing Manager of Silverbird Cinemas Ghana, Yaw Twum-Barimah Yeboah has confirmed the success story of the premiere–which gives the movie a good start.
Speaking to GhanaCelebrities.Com about the success of the movie, Twum-Barimah Yeboah said: “For the first time, we had the same exact reaction from our patrons from the various halls showing Keteke. It was an applause of satisfaction.”
“This is the highest grossing premiere in 2017 so far at the Silverbird cinemas,” he added.
The movie received 3 showings instead of the regular 2 that was scheduled. Each hall was packed to capacity and because of the overwhelming crowd Silverbird had to stop selling tickets at a point–which angered the people who had stood there for hours waiting for a hall to be free.”
Several people had to even leave, as they couldn’t wait any longer.
It wasn’t just the turnout, patrons who watched the movie described it the best movie they’ve seen coming out of Ghana in a long time.
‘Keteke’ will be showing tonight at the SilverBird Cinema, at West Hills Mall–and you can’t miss it.
