Ghana’s one and only ‘rap sofor’, Obrafour, has categorically denied reports going around that he said on a radio interview that Sarkodie would be dethroned as Ghana’s king of rap.
The legendary rapper put out a ‘statement’ early Monday, March 6, denying the reports which attributed certain quotes to him.
Reports over the weekend claimed Obrafour said due to verring into composing profane songs, Sarkodie is at risk of being overtaken at the top of the rap food chain.

“From the way things are going, Sarkodie has started making profane songs and until he stops, someone will dethrone him”. Obrafour was quoted as saying on ATL FM.
But the veteran star has denied those claims.
“NEVER at any point in my interview on ATL FM (Cape Coast) did I STATE that ? Sarkodie will be dethroned as king of rap soon. #FALSE #REPORTS #FakeNEWS” he wrote on Facebook Monday.
Does this mean Obrafour believes Sarkodie is the current king of rap? Is that a position that can be defended after he had his backside handed to him by M.anifest last year?
