In an acclaimed pursuit of finding missing State vehicles, Mr. Adams during Ghana’s Political Power transition blues had his cars seized by invisible authorities which he describes as criminals from Nana Addo’s Flagstaff House who rather ended up stealing him.
Speaking on Gh One TV’s State Of Affairs, the Former Spokesperson to Ex-President Rawlings told Nana Aba Anamoah that the incidence caused him a huge lost which he is seeking a redress to in the Law Court. Among the inconvenience caused him from the incident is the high cost of the alternative transportation his family resulted to as they had no cars.
Kofi Adams, apart from complaining from the high taxi bills due to renting cars, said that upon the returning of his cars, his items in the car which included money and a licensed pistol were also robbed by those who siezed the car.
Explaining why he kept a weapon in his car he said it’s for the safety from his children particularly because he was not around. He said ” it is my personal car and nobody goes into my car when I’m not around unless I instructed you to do so, so it is the safest place to keep something like a pistol because my kids go into my bedroom so it’s not too safe to keep such things there. Sometimes playing around, Kids can go enter places that you think that they are not supposed to enter.” He further implied that keeping his gun in his locked car where his children can’t reach the car key is better.
