Gospel musician Bro. Sammy has waded into the argument over gospel musicians allegedly paying bribes, saying whilst he has not done it before himself, he does not see it as a sin.
According to the singer, if the award would shed light on the singer and win more souls for Christ, there would be nothing wrong with paying a bribe.
“I’ve not seen a gospel musician paying bribe but it is not a sin when someone pays bribe. The secular musicians mostly win all the awards so if someone can pay for gospel artistes to sweep most of the plaques, it is beneficial.” he said.
“The Bible says money can do everything so if someone will pay just for gospel to top the awards, it is good.” he added.
Charterhouse’s George Quaye made the allegation that gospel singer pay bribes to win awards, something that sparked outrage amongst many gospel stars. Bro Sammy seems to be the only one seemingly supporting it.
