Ghanaian Dancehall artist Jupitar has bragged about a new multi million record label deal he has signed that will be made official soon via a press conference.
Speaking on Rythmz One-On-One, he told Berla Mundi the deal will see his music being sold and promoted internationally with possible collaborations with the likes of Kanye West.
Talking about why he has been in the industry for about 10 years now and still not famous like the StoneBwoys and Wales, the “Money Box” singer said the other Ghanaian dancehall acts mix up their content up, language and beat wise and that makes them popular. He then reiterated he is the only 100% dancehall act in Ghana.
Taking on StoneBwoy’s recent interview in Jamaica claiming he is the front liner when it comes to Dancehall music in Ghana, Jupitar said that statement is untrue and Stonebwoy should have used such international platform to rather appreciate veterans who paved way for Raggae and Dancehall music in Ghana.
Jupitar is however not feeling content with the VGMAs because he wasn’t sent a personal email reminder to alert him to submit his songs for nominations. A tech-trend he suggested Organizers must use to reach all musicians.
Nevertheless judging from his demeanor, he is just not interested in the VGMAs as he also gave the excuse that none of his team members was in Ghana during the period of filling nominations and there wasn’t online submission either. Meanwhile Berla corrected him that online applications were made available only if he inquired to know.
