US Based Church Donates $13,000 To Victims Of Kintampo Waterfalls Tragedy

A US based Ghanaian church, Divine Word Ministries, has donated an amount of $13,000 to the families of the students who died during the recent Kintampo Waterfalls tragedy.

A delegation from the church, led by its founder, Bishop Kofi Adonteng Boateng, visited the Wenchi Methodist Senior High School to donate the cash to the bereaved families.

They also presented $1,000 to help the injured students, as well as other items to the school itself.

Students from the school were on an excursion to the Kintampo Waterfalls last month when some trees fell off the falls and landed on some students beneath, killing 15 of them.

“We have brought you a message of hope and encouragement that nothing can ever substitute your loss but the love of God. do not be discouraged for we are with you.” Bishop Boateng said during the presentation.

He pledged to source for funds for a library complex to be built in memory of the perished students.

The donations were received by the headmaster of the school, Mr Foster Antwi Boateng, on behalf of the affected families.
