A concerned group of Bole Bamboi residents have angrily invoked the gods of the town on Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, for his constant ‘persecution’ of their brother Ibrahim Mahama.

According to the residents, Agyepong’s crusade to have Ibrahim jailed shows he’s jealous of Ibrahim’s success and they want the gods to intervene on his behalf.

Ibrahim Mahama’s recent troubles with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) stem from Kennedy Agyepong, who constantly harped on Ibrahim’s issuance of dud cheques to the GRA to clear goods in the media.

That led to EOCO invited Ibrahim, who was then directed to reimburse the Authority of the money he owes.

But to these residents, retrieving state money from their brother is persecution orchestrated by none other than the brash Assin Central MP.

“It is envy, jealousy and even witchcraft that will make a person, hate his fellow man with a passion to the extent of threatening to take his life, just to see that person go to jail. You (Kennedy) are not an officer of GRA and so why are you frustrating our man” Haruna Mahama, spokesperson for the group, said on Neat Fm.

“We are aware that Kennedy Agyapong is behind this issue. He is even more powerful than Nana Addo and that is why he has ordered EOCO to investigate our beloved son”.

To conclude, Mahama called on all Christians, Muslims and traditionalists to call on their God to intervene on behalf of Ibrahim and deal with Kennedy Agyepong.
